WESTBERE PARISH COUNCIL
Welcome to Westbere Parish Council's website, which has been designed to give you details of events and activities within the village, together with the current agenda and minutes of recent Parish Council meetings.
We hope you enjoy your visit to our site and find it informative and useful.
Where is Westbere?
The parish of Westbere is located approximately 3½ miles north-east of Canterbury, and runs adjacent to the A28 from the boundary with Sturry, as far as Lakesview Business Park just beyond Hersden. The village of Westbere is situated in the heart of a conservation area and can be reached from the A28 via Westbere Lane, Church Lane or Bushy Hill Road. All roads into Westbere are narrow and winding, making them unsuitable for large vehicles.
The village contains approximately 140 houses, a small village green, a village hall, a public house, a beautiful church and two closed churchyards. Details of heritage trail which runs through the parish are available on the Westbere Preservation Society's heritage trail notice-board outside the church.
The parish is currently undertaking a Parish Plan, which it is hoped will provide information of residents' needs, both immediate and in the future.
The Steering Group has issued a questionnaire for residents in Westbere Parish which can be completed online by choosing the link on our 'Useful Links' page.
